Laura Bates Miss Hidden Valley USA
My name is Laura Bates and I am representing Escondido, in the Miss California USA Donald Trump Pageant. You may be thinking why Hidden Valley? I chose this title because it is the spanish meaning of Esconido and I thought it sounded beautiful. I am very excited to compete and appreciate all the support from you all! I would make a great Miss California because I want to use the power to help others. This has been such an amazing experience for me and I am thankful everyday for being given the opportunity. Through being Miss Hidden Valley, I have become much more aware and involved in my community. Not to mention all of the wonderful people I have met. Help and follow my journey to the crown.
It is an awesome experience... that costs a lot of money. My goal is to raise 5,000 dollars to compete and also have leftover money donated to Avid. Avid is an academic program designed to help low income students get into college. It provides many scholarship opportunities, academic and moral support for students. Many avid students go on to college and become the great determined minds of our society. I, myself was an AVID student myself in high school. I met some of the most driven students and had a teacher who genuinely cared about the success of all of her students. It was a great experience which is why I want to fund and spread the word of AVID!
